Hello, my name is Kevin C. Norby, I was born and raised in Kanabec County and now run the business my father Loren started in 1952. I learned everything I know about the auction business from my dad. I credit the continued success of Auctions by Norby to my dad's teaching and to the dedicated professionalism of my partner and auction staff.
Auctioneers like Sonny Nelson, Morris Besser, Al Pike, Wayne Pike, John Pike and Ken Laska have been invaluable in continuing the tradition of excellence Auctions by Norby prides itself on.
I have conducted hundreds of successful auctions over the past forty plus years. No auction has been too big or too small for myself and my staff to handle.
Being a certified real estate and personnel property auctioneer, licensed in the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin, has helped in the influx of real estate auctions. The trend will continue as more and more real estate is sold via auction. Being a real estate broker since 1982, I have seen the real estate industry shifting from traditional selling to the alternative method of selling by auction.
Roy has lived in the Duluth and Cloquet areas since 1955. Roy served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1961. He operated “Jerdes Butcher Shop” from 1978 to 2002 with his wife Judy.
Roy and Judy also started “R&J Auction Service” in 1978. He conducted many successful Auctions and worked with other Auctioneers in the Duluth and Cloquet areas.
Roy and Judy also bought, sold, raised and successfully showed registered quarter horses.
He has experience in all areas of the auction field, including the selling of Real Estate at Auction, which is now widely accepted as alternative method of selling Real Estate.
Having worked with Auctions by Norby for several years, Roy has contributed to the success of this Auction Service.
